Arriving ahead of the first canoes, we were able
to beach, get a great camping spot and join the thousands of aunties,
uncles, kids, wives and other spectators lining the beach on Raiatea.
All continued to cheer wildly as their favorite crews representing all
the islands came in racing neck and neck with an opponent across the
finish line.
